[masterslider alias="ms-2-4"]

Roobini  likes to network with different people around the cities and states to know about their culture and heritage and also to build her leadership and management qualities by participating in various activities in IEEE and outside IEEE activities. It builds her self-confidence and improves her ability to do something for humanity and community. And IEEE is the platform till now which boosted her leadership, confidence, and management skills.

She solely believes in spreading positives and smiles everywhere.

As an IEEE volunteer, She has improved and enhanced herself in building her interpersonal skills and strong leadership qualities which she is proud of. Also, she has helped various fellow members in various aspects and guided them. She has also taught a few primary-level school students about basic interpersonal skills and soft skills to improve themselves so that they face the world boldly. She has guided and mentored many of her juniors in all aspects of activities they approached her such as awareness, and interpersonal skills, taught them what she knows and etc.

IEEE provided her with lots of activities in the past 4 years of being an active member. Some of them are Volunteering across the world for various events and activities, networking with many young professionals, and IEEE research platforms. She has got funding for many of her projects in her engineering career, and she got to meet many mentors and guide support at the conferences she has visited. It also gave her lots of friends across the country and outside the country who helped her in various aspects when she needed any kind of support.

“She understood that it is the little things that help make us, define us, and when we look back on them. It reminds us just how blessed we truly are.”

One of her favorite IEEE stories is about her SB Chair – Gautama Bharadwaj and Vice-Chair – Deepa who understood her within a few weeks and guided her with what she wanted and always motivated her to do things that she loves. That’s when she realized and found that she is passionate about graphic designing, then as she started to dig deeper into it she got interested in UX/UI field and today she can think of what she wants. So, it is just some little things that make us happy in our life and the like-minded people around us. She, who had such a wonderful understanding of seniors, brings her today standing as a passionate volunteer to do things she loves for society and her personal career. That’s the same strategy she is following today to motivate her juniors in the IEEE journey and make them understand the value and respect what Little Things can give them.

“I believe in bringing smiles and happiness to the people who need them the most, then these smiles will return to you and your loved ones in the most memorable manner.” is the belief of Roobini.

Apart from IEEE, she is an active volunteer at Rotary international where she serves as a District Public Relations committee member of Rotaract District 3190 and Community Service Director of the Rotaract Club of Falcon Youth for the year 2022. She previously served as a student coordinator of the Rotaract Club of BMS Yelahanka in the year 2021. Also, she has done other volunteering activities with NGOs like plantation, village survey collection, Hand wash sanitation at government schools, teaching government school students, conduction of summer camps for school students, Vaccination and Blood donation campaigns, visiting orphanage kids and senior citizens on an occasion, and many more.
