IEEE INDISCON 2022
KIIT School of Electrical Engineering hosted 3rd International flagship conference INDISCON 2022 in blended mode which was organized by IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section with the support of IEEE Kolkata Section from 15th July to 17th July 2022.
On 15th July 2022, Day 1 of INDISCON begins with the inauguration of Missile Park (Both indoor and outdoor) by Prof Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU in presence of esteemed executive council members of IEEE India Council, delegates. Officials of ITR (DRDO) Chandipur, Balasore followed by small video presentation by ITR (DRDO) Chandipur.
Dr. Sushmita Mitra, Chair, IEEE Kolkata Section and Professor, Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute,Kolkata presented on the topic titled “Intelligent Analysis of Biomedical Images”in physical mode.
Sumantra Dutta Roy, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi highlighted on the topic titled “Millenial Computer Vision” in virtual mode. Topic titled “Challenges and Solutions for the Microgrid ” is demonstrated by Prof. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, Chair, IEEE Bhubaneswar Subsection and Professor, IIT Bhubaneswar in physical mode.
Kalyana C. Veluvolu, Professor, School of Electronics Engineering, Head, Intelligent Systems and Control Division, College of IT Engineering (CITE) Kyungpook National University, South Korea presented on the topic titled “Multi-dimensional (3D and 4D) tremor modelling” in physical mode.
During keynote, topic titled “Analysis of IoT-Based Load Altering Attacks Against Power Grids” is presented by Dr. Subhash Lakshminarayana, Professor, School of Engineering, University of Warwick, UK in virtual mode.
Prof. Debi Prosad Dogra, Technical Program Chair, told about the accepted papers and he thanked all the reviewers and team for completing the process within timeline. Prof. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, General Chair, INDISCON 2022 highlighted the different activities of IEEE Bhubaneswar Subsection and it was appreciated by the dignitaries. Dr Harekrishna Ratha, Director, ITR (DRDO) Chandipur addressed the gathering about interdisciplinary research and advised young minds to understand the fundamentals and concepts of their core area. He personally to thanked to Hon’ble Founder, KIIT and KISS, Prof. Achyuta Samanta for establishing a global Institution KIIT in the state of Odisha. He also thanked to Prof Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor,KIIT-DU for hosting INDISCON 2022. Prof. Ashok Kumar Tripathy, Former Director General, CPRI, Bangalore urged about the scope for core competency of any discipline and to explore innovative idea in IEEE platform. Release of INDISCON Proceedings and Felicitation to Dignitaries was also made.

Dr.Suresh Nair, IEEE India Council Chair was very happy with the organizing committee for making the conference flow in a planned manner and requested to increase the number of graduate membership. Kalyana C. Veluvolu, Professor, South Korea was the guest honour and he appreciated the efforts of organizing committee for making the conference a grand success.
Shri Deepak Mathur, Director, IEEE Region 10 has been invited as Chief Guest and highlighted the objectives behind the INDISCON 2022. He is very happy with the activities of IEEE Kolkata Section and IEEE Bhubaneswar subsection.
At the outset, Prof Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Chair, Organizing Committee, INDISCON 2022 extended a warm welcome to esteemed members of IEEE India Council, IEEE Kolkata Section, IEEE Bhubaneswar Subsection, delegates and participants and invitees. Prof Tripti Swarnkar gave word of thanks. Inaugural Function ended with a group photo session. The cultural program performed by KISS students was highly apprciated by the delegates and participants.
On 16th July 2022, Day 2 begins with keynote address on the topic titled “Green Technologies: Enabler for Future Energy Demands” by Sanjeet Dwivedi, Fellow IET(UK), IEEE Transaction Industrial Electronics, Industry Relation Coordinator, IEEE, Denmark Section. IEEE India Council Meet among members was made at Seminar Hall 1, Campus 6 followed by Visit to KIIT & KISS by Participants and Delegates. was Presentation of 26 accepted Papers were made in blended mode during Parallel Technical Session 1. Visit to Konark Temple was made also during post lunch.
On 17th July 2022, Day 3 begins with keynote address on the topic titled “Spacecraft Autonomy: Current Research and Future Challenges” by Dr. Krishna D. Kumar, Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. Again, presentation of 31 accepted Papers were made in blended mode during Parallel Technical Session 2 respectively. During valedictory address, Welcome Address was given by Prof. Ranjeeta Patel, Co-Chair, Organizing Committee, IEEE INDISCON 2022. Prof Sujata Chakraborty, Chair, IEEE Newsletter Committee shared her experience in IEEE. Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Chair, Organizing Committee thanks to DR Negi, Prof Samantaray and Prof Tripathy for cooperation throughout the conference. Prof. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, General Chair, IEEE INDISCON 2022 was pleased to announce that INDISCON is a grand success. Atul Negi, Vice Chairman, Technical Activities, IEEE India Council appreciated the efforts of organizing committee to make INDISCON 2022 a grand success. Prof. Ashok Kumar Tripathy, Conference Chair, IEEE INDISCON 2022 saluted the efforts of Hon’ble Founder, KIIT and KISS and Vice Chancellor for providing such smart infrastructure during conference. He thanked to IEEE India Council, IEEE Kolkata Section, IEEE Bhubaneswar and all organizing team members of KIIT to make the INDISCON 22 a benchmarking and standard. At the end, best papers of 4 different tracks were announced and Dr Patel was also announced as best woman volunteer during INDISCON 2022 in IEEE Bhubaneswar subsection. Word of thanks was made Dr Chitralekha Jena, Co-Chair, Local Ogranizing Committee, IEEE INDISCON 2022 followed by Certificate Distribution (Award and Participation). All participants shared their Experiences and they are happy to be part of IEEE Conference.
